Early support of the development of children with ASD. A case study

The aim of the article is to show the effects of actions focused on supporting the development of children with ASD carried out in the eclectic trend aimed at seeking techniques tailored to the individual person and their problems. Children (aged 5-7) underwent a two-stage diagnostic procedure (preliminary and final) with the PEP-R test (Schopler's Psychoeducational Profile). Between measurements, they participated in the annual development support program using sensory integration stimulation techniques, fine motor stimulation and dog therapy/animal-assisted therapy. The results obtained per unit testify to the effectiveness of the applied proposals, but do not allow for general conclusions to be reached. However, they can be a prerequisite for conducting a broader research project and developing individually designed early intervention programs for children with ASD.References
